JOIN US / VOLUNTEER Volunteering- give an hour or an afternoon!
NHArts has a number of diverse volunteer opportunities
and its volunteer force includes young Volunteers can participate in special events such as Savor New Hope - Showcase the Arts, the annual Sculpture New Hope Exhibition or can participate year round by becoming a member of one of the New Hope Arts Committees that explores broader program areas such as visual arts, performing arts and education. Volunteer receptions provide an opportunity for volunteers to learn more about a particular event or exhibition and discuss current artwork on display. New Hope Arts meetings ar open to the public and volunteers are encouraged to attend. Examples of volunteer activities: gallery sitting, receiving artwork, cataloguing works, hanging shows, computer input (mailing list), "sprucing up” days, set up/clean up for events, and event planning committees. There
are a number of ways to get involved with NHArts and Volunteer
Coordinator Leslie Crilley can introduce you to most of them through
her own experiences. Leslie is the perfect example of the important
role one person can play in a growing organization. Not only is
Leslie an active volunteer and now coordinator of volunteer efforts,
but she also recruits new folks to get involved and is always exploring
opportunities for New Hope Arts. She has encouraged her company,
Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, to contribute to the organization
through their matching funds program and also applies each year
for a special MLIM grant to recognize employee’s volunteer
efforts.
